Testing

Test in small pieces¶

1. Use a separate test bot or a chat without important data.
2. Check event delivery and one simple reply.
3. Add a condition and check both branches.
4. Add AI, tables and services one step at a time.
5. Save after a change, then repeat the test.

On a live bot, Save publishes immediately. This button has no hidden test mode.

Minimum test cases¶

• Expected input, empty input and unrelated text.
• Two identical messages and repeated button clicks.
• Two different users, especially in a shared group.
• An empty list and a list with multiple items.
• A missing JSON key, unavailable service or missing bot permission.

Finding the failing step¶

Open Runtime errors and locate the relevant run. Start with the first failed step, not just the final message. Test deletion and permission changes on objects created for testing.
